According to the Complaint, Dolce & Gabbana USA Inc. is an internationally renowned fashion company. In 2022, Dolce & Gabbana and NFT marketplace UNXD Inc. jointly created and marketed a digital asset project called the DGFamily, based off Dolce & Gabbana's brand popularity.

Plaintiff brings this lawsuit against the Defendants on behalf of purchasers of digital assets from Defendants’ NFT project. The Complaint alleges that Defendants’ public offer and sale of DGFamily products was an unlawful offering of unregistered securities for which no exemption from registration was available under the Securities Act.

Plaintiff filed an Amended Complaint on September 25, 2024. Dolce & Gabbana USA Inc. filed a Motion to Dismiss the Amended Complaint on January 24, 2025. On July 11, the Court issued an Order granting the Defendants' Motion to Dismiss and dismissed the U.S. division of Dolce & Gabanna from the case.
